A conference for leaders and teachers in all schools and colleges to consider the opportunities that the London 2012 Games can provide for pupils and students.

This event will include a range of practice-based workshops for schools and colleges in all phases that will cover a range of themes:

Who should attend?

This event has been designed with schools and colleges in mind but it is also open to those who work in local authorities and other partner organisations, including the voluntary sector. Anyone who works with children and young people and is enthusiastic to learn more about the wealth of opportunities that the London 2012 Games will provide, should attend. The day will be ideal for headteachers, senior leaders and others in youth or extended services. Much of the event will be spent in workshops led by schools and 'scheme organisers' to illustrate work already underway and the opportunities that schools can enjoy in the coming months and years.

Cost: There is currently sufficient funding for 100 free places at this event and we are seeking further financial support. The worst case scenario is that colleagues might be asked to make a £30 contribution to cover venue costs. We will contact you in advance of the event if it becomes necessary to ask for a contribution and you will be able to withdraw if you wish!
